Felix the Mobile Medical Unit

The PWMC Team is excited to share news about Felix the Mobile Medical Unit. Thanks to Direct Relief, the J.W. Couch Foundation, and the combined donations from mask sales by a few dedicated local designers including Erika Powell Textiles, Mary Ellen DiMauro and Chris Powers. These three groups' combined donations, grants and generosity helped us reach our goal of purchasing the MMU.

For updates regarding Felix, programming at the clinic and how we are facing the current pandemic, please be sure & check out this J.W. Couch article, Protecting a Local Community from a Global Pandemic.

Thank you to all our contributors for your support!

Dr. Hillary Glenn, DNP is named Executive Director

(written by Phillip Justiss, President PWMC Board of Directors)

At the start of 2020, after serving multiple years as one of the Clinic's main volunteer health care providers, Dr. Hillary Glenn, DNP came on as the Clinic's first official contracted employee. Hillary is one of the two founders of the Clinic, along with Dr. Patsy Vargo. As we move to our next stage of growth, she agreed to leave her full-time job and join the Clinic as Executive Director, while remaining as our main provider. Hillary was with us on our first day when we opened as a pop-up, she had the vision for a full service clinic with our own dedicated space. We are excited to have her lead us into our next phase.
